We are now accepting applications for the WU May 2010 trip to Russia. The trip is open to the extended Washington University community and to others on a space-available basis. 

Two WU Faculty members (Mikhail Palatnik and Nicole Svobodny) will lead a nine-day trip to Russia in May 2010. In addition to touring the historical sites of Моscow and St. Petersburg, you will have the opportunity to

• meet and converse with Russians from a wide variety of sectors, such as academia, business, and the arts;
• create traditional Russian porcelain under a Russian master;
• enjoy a home-cooked meal with Russians in their home;
• and, if you like, relax Russian-style at the banya (Russian bath)!

Dates: Depart May 17, return May 25
Price per person: $3,800

Cancellations or withdrawals after March 15, 2010: participant will be responsible for all non-recoverable costs.

The price includes the following:

Transportation  
• Round trip airfare from USA (departing city: Chicago) to Russia
• Overnight train from Moscow to St. Petersburg
• All ground transportation for group excursions
